Aroma Fields Candles & Bath> Soap Ingredients

The following is a list of some of the ingredients we use in our soaps.

Aloe Vera: A wild plant of the lily family used for years as a healing agent and beauty aid. Aloe vera juice appears to be effective in relieving the pain and inflammation of sunburn. The aloe vera gel contains vitamins B1, B2, and B6, calcium, potassium, chlorine, enzymes, and other ingredients not yet identified.

Coconut Oil: Also known as Copra Oil, is a white solid fat obtained from the fruit of the coconut, widely used in food products and in the production of cosmetics and soaps. This oil adds volumes of lather to a soap.

Glycerin: is a humectant (draws moisture from the air to moisturize the skin) A colorless sweet viscous liquid derived from vegetable fats. It is a by-product of the soap-making process, which separates the glycerin from the fatty acids in the whole oil. The naturally-occurring glycerin stays in handmade soaps, but is usually removed from commercial soaps. Glycerin is also used as an emollient (skin smoothener and softener), lubricant (skin lubricator that helps prevents moisture loss), emulsifier (thickener) and diluting agent in cosmetics.

Goats Milk: contains over 50 nutrients that nourish and revitalize the skin. It has a pH level that is closest to the skins own pH level. It has proven to be gentle to sensitive dry skin. It consistently leaves the skin feeling smooth, moisturized and rejuvinated.

Lavender: This amazing plant is used for acne, athletes foot, as a disinfectant, healing burns
and insect bites, stiff joints and sore muscle relief. Herbalists have also used lavender oil to treat skin ailments including fungal infections, wounds, and eczema. Lavender can be applied externally for circulatory disorders by adding to a healing bath, or it is also used as a rub to treat rheumatic ailments. Lavender is both physiologically soothing and psychologically calming. Lavender is best know for curing insomnia and can be used as a treatment for sunburn. Lavender cools sunburn and soothes dry skin, while helping to quiet over-active sebaceous glands that produce oily skin.

Lemongrass: Studies have shown that the lemon grass has antibacterial and antifungal properties. It is said that lemongrass also helps improve the skin by reducing acne and pimples and acts as a muscle and tissue toner.

Oatmeal: Many troublesome skin problems as well as contact dermatisas respond postively to oatmeal soap. Ezcema and psoriasis conditions have often been improved by oatmeal soap. Oatmeal soap also soothes the itching from poison oak, poison ivy, poison sumac as well an irritating rashes and insect bites. Remember the times that both Mom and your doctor recommended an oatmeal bath? They did it and still do it today because they know the benefits!

Peppermint Leaf: Helps with itching skin, burns, ringworm, neuralgia, rheumatism and as a insect repellent. Very fragrantPalm Oil: Palm Oil is the reddish-orange oil extracted from the pulp of the fruit of the African palm. It's extremely high in saturated fat andl is processed to produce edible fats (shortening & margarine), soaps and candles. This is a solid oil which is the number one soap making ingredient. Palm Oil gives a very big, fluffy lather. Safflower Oil: is an emollient, soothes bruises and irritations, and is easily absorbed into the skin.

Shea Butter: is known for it's healing and moisturizing properties. It has been used for thousands of years to effectively treat dry and aging skin. Its high content of non-saponifiable fatty acids gives it the ability to moisturize and retain the elasticity of the skin. Shea butter can also help to protect the skin against the damaging effects of the sun while repairing cellular degeneration.

Sorbitan Oleate: Natural Emulsifier

Soybean Protein: Natural Conditioner

Tea Tree Oil: Powerful antiseptic. Antibacterial, antifungal. Helps to treat cuts, scrapes, bites, stings, minor skin wounds and irritations. Promotes healing and reduces scarring. Acne control and shortens the course of vaginal yeast infections.
